Immediate opening: blocklayer (Louisiana)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. You will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings. You should have: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits.
