Now hiring: we are hiring a power float operator in Gonzales County, Texas. You will be based in a residential housing project. Day to day you will carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds Full-time with occasional weekends.
