Vacancy available: elevator technician (England)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an elevator technician in West Sussex, England. Requirements: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate Your main tasks: • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork 2+ years on the tools preferred.
