Core maker • McPherson County, Nebraska

Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in McPherson County, Nebraska. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings 6+ years on the tools preferred.
