Blocklayer — Catahoula Parish

Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a residential building site. Day to day you will erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints. Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Overtime paid at a premium rate.
