Immediate opening: we are hiring a hand presser in Anderson County, Tennessee. You will work at a dry cleaner's. What we are looking for: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment On a typical shift you will give each garment a final press before packing; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics.
