Immediate opening: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Herefordshire, England. Day to day you will deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing. Requirements: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges 1+ years on the tools preferred. £2,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
