Immediate opening: pastry baker (New Mexico)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pastry baker in Union County, New Mexico. The job is in a hotel pastry kitchen. Day to day you will monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; roll out short-crust and biscuit dough; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
