Great opportunity: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Cook County, Illinois. On the job you will handle: • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear • Clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin • Operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site • Grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms Ideal candidate: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
