We are recruiting: we are hiring a commis chef in Hidalgo County, Texas. Your main tasks: • Plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service • Cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations • Manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs • Prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch • Follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces • Follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes You should have: • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets • Strong knife skills and speed on the line • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking Six days a week, one day off.
