Immediate opening: steel erection rigger (England)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Borough of Rochdale, England. Day to day you will guide loads through tight openings into their final position; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; read lift plans and method statements before starting; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. You should have: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
