Requirements: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces Day-to-day duties: • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
