Flatlock machine operator wanted in Tama County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Tama County, Iowa. The role involves keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits.
