Foundry labourer wanted in Lane County

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Lane County, Kansas. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
