Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gardener in Allen County, Kansas. The job is in a botanical garden. What we are looking for: • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Happy to work outdoors in all weather You will spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
