Die-casting operator — Surry County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Surry County, Virginia. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Meals and transport allowance provided.
