Vacancy available: foundry worker (New Jersey)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry worker in Sussex County, New Jersey. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day-to-day duties: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
