Restoration bricklayer — Potter County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Potter County, South Dakota. You will work at a renovation and extension job. On the job you will handle: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Full-time, day shift.
