Dogger — Custer County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a dogger in Custer County, Idaho. You will be based at a shipyard. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket The role involves read lift plans and method statements before starting; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $210 per day, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off.
