Shakeout operator • Angelina County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Angelina County, Texas. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Day to day you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects.
