Die-casting operator — Livingston County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Livingston County, Michigan. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day to day you will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring.
