Immediate opening: bricklayer (Alabama)

Now hiring: we are hiring a bricklayer in Lawrence County, Alabama. You will be based on a busy housing site. You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Day-to-day duties: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
