Bricklayer — Nassau County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bricklayer in Nassau County, New York. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. Your main tasks: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge You should have: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
