Immediate opening: foundry operative (Nevada)

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Lyon County, Nevada. The job is at a busy iron foundry. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Your main tasks: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
