Argon welding operator — McDuffie County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in McDuffie County, Georgia. Day to day you will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
