Vertical transportation technician — Hays County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Hays County, Texas. You will work in a machine room on the rooftop. On the job you will handle: • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work We offer $18 per hour plus benefits.
