Power press operator — South Tyneside

Great opportunity: we are hiring a power press operator in South Tyneside, England. Day to day you will run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; record output and downtime on the production sheet; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting. Ideal candidate: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
