Machine operator (earthworks) wanted in Guthrie County

Now hiring: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Guthrie County, Iowa. You will work at a road and highway construction project. The role involves backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly. What we are looking for: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
