Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Jackson County, Ohio. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Your main tasks: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits.
