Core maker wanted in Sevier County

Join our team: we are hiring a core maker in Sevier County, Tennessee. The job is at a busy iron foundry. You will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
