Sewing machine operator wanted in Buckingham County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Buckingham County, Virginia. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory The role involves trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $5,400 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
