Now hiring: we are hiring a car painter in Pratt County, Kansas. You will work at a busy body shop. On the job you will handle: • Set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish • Wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying • Wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs • Bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint • Prime and seal bare metal to stop rust • Compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss Requirements: • Confident with wet-sanding and machine polishing • Good eye for colour matching and blending • Keen attention to detail and a steady hand Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
