Immediate opening: gas meter installer (Benue State)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Oturkpo, Benue State. You will work at a heating and plumbing contractor. Day-to-day duties: • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections You should have: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Able to read isometric and site drawings Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
