Moulder wanted in Lake County

Now hiring: we are hiring a moulder in Lake County, Illinois. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
