Foundry labourer — Ness County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Ness County, Kansas. Your main tasks: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
