Furnace operator — Polk County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Polk County, Nebraska. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
