Sample machinist — Upton County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Upton County, Texas. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Your main tasks: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges You should have: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
