Steel erection rigger — Sandoval County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Sandoval County, New Mexico. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. On a typical shift you will establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists. What we are looking for: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
