Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gatehouse guard in Cambridgeshire, England. The job is in a corporate office building. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours • Basic reading of English and local language for registers • Height and weight as per security norms Day-to-day duties: • Operate the boom barrier and check vehicles in and out • Log every visitor and vehicle in the duty register • Man the reception desk and direct visitors to the right block • Raise the alarm and follow the evacuation drill in an emergency • Patrol the premises on foot at fixed intervals • Check fire exits, locks, gates and seals during rounds 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
