Hand presser — Jasper County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a hand presser in Jasper County, Illinois. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Day to day you will remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Contact us to fix an interview.
