Vacancy available: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Washington County, Arkansas. The job is on an export house sewing floor. Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality 6+ years on the tools preferred.
