Shakeout operator • Pennington County, Minnesota

We are recruiting: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Pennington County, Minnesota. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Your main tasks: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
