Now hiring: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Pendleton County, West Virginia. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Your main tasks: • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins Ideal candidate: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Rotating shifts. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
