Dogger wanted in Kendall County

Now hiring: we are hiring a dogger in Kendall County, Illinois. You will be based at a container port. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles The role involves: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle Full-time, day shift.
