UPVC window fitter — Nassau County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an uPVC window fitter in Nassau County, New York. You will be based in the profile cutting and welding bay. Ideal candidate: • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely The role involves clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router; crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame; cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame; fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails; take site measurements of openings before fabrication. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
