Sand plant operator — Madera County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Madera County, California. Day to day you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry We offer $4,700 per month plus benefits.
