Argon welding operator • Wayne County, Utah

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Wayne County, Utah. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day to day you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Full-time with occasional weekends.
