Immediate opening: brick mason (Texas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Kent County, Texas. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. The role involves: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish You should have: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Full-time with occasional weekends.
