Now hiring: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Knox County, Illinois. You will be based in a job-work machining unit. Requirements: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts The role involves set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes.
