Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Ionia County, Michigan. The job is at a power plant. Your main tasks: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight You should have: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Rotating shifts. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
